FoodProWest—premier event on the calendar of B.C.’s leading food processors—grew in 2011 to a two-day event. This year it is planned for June 6 and 7, 2012 in the Grand Villa Ballrooms of the Delta Burnaby, Vancouver.

The organising committee of BCFPA members plans a Professional Development Day on the first day. A morning plenary on this day, followed by breakout sessions, a lunch plenary, afternoon breakouts and concluding plenary, will constitute a full day of training.

Around this time, the exhibits will be officially opened and a stand-up networking event with appetisers will lead to the BCFPA Awards presentation and some more networking.

Exhibitions will stay open for both days of the event.

The next day will start with a networking breakfast. An intermingling of the ever-popular expert panels and the Annual General Meetings of the BCFPA and the Food Industry Occupational Safety Association will follow. This will lead to the highlight portion of the event: the sit-down dinner to enjoy B.C.’s own product and the keynotes. Some exciting speakers are in the process of confirming, both for the expert panels and the keynotes.
