Come hear Yves Potvin of Garden Protein International do a keynote on how he started his business in Quebec and built it into the international success of today. It all began in 1985, when a cross country biking trip and a lack of healthy fast food choices inspired Yves to create a line of convenient, delicious food that’s good for you. Yves took a chance and hung up his chef’s hat to launch his revolutionary Yves Veggie Cuisine line. And the rest, as they say, is history. What began as a one-man operation grew to become the largest refrigerated, meat-alternative producer in North America and redefined the convenient health-food category. In 2001, with annual sales exceeding $60 million and products distributed throughout North America, South America and Asia, Yves sold his company to The Hain Celestial Group, a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ. Yves’ new company Garden Protein International (GPI), has created the next generation of healthy, sustainable vegetable protein called Gardein™. With Garden Protein International, Yves’ passion continues to be fuelled by his commitment to creating great tasting convenient food that is good for people, and for the planet.
Come hear organic food visionary, Arran Stephens, President of Nature’s Path Foods speak on the industry panel. Arran and his wife Ratana started Nature’s Path Foods out of the back of their independent restaurant in the early 80s. They built the company into North America’s first and largest organic breakfast food company.
