BCFPA Food Safety Committee

Advocating on the behalf of BCFPA members towards equal and responsive regulations, providing input and influencing government programs and policies, and developing valuable food safety related programs and services for BCFPA members. Committee members are asked to sign a confidentiality agreement. From the Terms of Reference, the purpose of the Food Safety Committee is to:

  • Create a place for BCFPA members’ Food Safety/Quality Assurance professionals to network and share best practices,
  • Undertake Food Safety related projects at the request of the CEO and Board of Directors,
  • Provide a forum for members,
  • Bring issues to the attention of the Board,
  • Serve as a liaison with the BC Food Protection Association, CFIA and the BC government,
  • Present food safety professional development speakers and/or events, and
  • Make and deliver reports to the Board of Directors.

Members are invited to submit food safety challenges for the group to help solve.
