As a member of BCFPA, you have probably benefited informally from the wisdom of seasoned members – well now we are enhancing the sharing of information by launching a formal BCFPA Mentorship Program.
What is it?
Well it is a formal program that partners someone wanting to be mentored with an experienced member. The program includes a written agreement, formal meeting times and scheduled activities based on the agreement of the mentee and mentor.
We are lucky at the BCFPA to have a broad spectrum of experience and wisdom amongst our members - this program will help tap into that collective knowledge.
How can you get involved?
If you are wanting to be mentored, you can download the package from the BCFPA website, fill out the mentee application and return it, to the BCFPA Office before December 31, 2011 to be included in the inaugural intake.
If you are interested in becoming a mentor, you can download that same package, fill out the mentor profile and return it to the BCFPA Office before December 31, 2011 as well.

From that point a small group consisting of staff and board members will review all mentee applications and mentor profiles to find the perfect match (almost like eHarmony but without the romance!) based on what the participants are hoping to get from the program.
Timing of the Program
For questions about the program or to get involved, please contact Connie Duivenvoorden ([email protected]), membership coordinator at the BCFPA office.
