International Trade site.
"As you may be aware, Canada and the European Union announced the launch of
negotiations towards a comprehensive economic agreement on May 6, 2009, at
the Canada-EU Summit. In order to ensure that Canadian priorities are taken
into account during the negotiations, the Government of Canada is consulting
with Canadian stakeholders with an interest in the EU market.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT) has now
posted a Questionnaire seeking input on issues pertaining to access for
goods (including tariff and non-tariff barriers), rules of origin, technical
barriers to trade, and cross border trade in services and investment. Given
the importance of the EU market to Canada's exporters of fish and seafood
products, please take the time to visit the consultations link below in
order to identify specific export interests/barriers in the EU market, and
any other information you feel pertinent".
