James Donaldson brings over 20 years of experience and success in the BC food industry to his position as CEO of the BC Food Processors Association.
James work history includes experience with businesses ranging in size from start-up ventures to multi-national corporations and everything in between. He has held positions with companies such as Diageo, Yves Veggie Cuisine, BC Hot House Foods, Maple Leaf Foods, and Superior Freeze Dry in sales, marketing, and general management functions.
Most recently James has been working as a management consultant as Principal of Flashpoint Strategies, providing strategy, planning, business development, advisory and coaching services to small and mid-sized consumer goods companies.
Originally from Manitoba, James moved to BC in 1991 upon graduating from the University of Manitoba. He resides in Surrey, BC with his wife Sharon and three children; Jordan, Emily and Justin.
Tanya Tait is a skilled Communications and Project Management professional with more than 20 years of rich and varied government, non-profit and corporate experience. Tanya is an inspirational leader who brings strong people management, strategic thinking and experience to the table. Organizationally savvy, Tanya maneuvers well to get things done and is politically aware and agile. She builds successful, professional teams and achieves results.
Tanya is a professional Communications Consultant, launching her company, Accurate Communications Services in 2010, which provides expertise in communication policy development, business writing, crisis communications, PR and media relations, branding, marketing and government relations.
Tanya has contributed her leadership and advocacy skills in the non-profit realm serving in Marketing, Communications, and PR Directorship roles with the Canadian Cancer Society - Relay for Life, Special Olympics BC, the Kidney Foundation and others. Tanya is a 2012 BC Transplant Kidney Walk Honouree, after having donated a kidney to save her friends life in 2010, and co-founding the Fraser Valley Organ Transplant Network. Tanya is also a decorated Queens’ Diamond Jubilee Medal recipient, 2012 for recognition of her outstanding community service to Canada.
