Innovation is a critical component in a successful product portfolio. Launching a winning innovation involves countless decisions from inception to launch, and the pressure to innovate more quickly continues to increase.  This Sales & Marketing peer group meeting will be facilitated by innovation experts from Nielsen, who will share current category and consumer trends as well as best practices for identifying and launching successful innovation.

Market Conditions impact innovation potential: 

●     What categories are growing, what's not, and common themes

●     Changes ahead:  rise of the smaller brands, online, plant based eating, and cannabis

●     Trends in shopping behaviours / shopping trips

Help prepare yourself to win with innovation:

●     Examples of highly successful launches in 2018 and what drove their success

●     Some misconceptions about a successful, agile innovation process.  What steps should be included vs. avoided? 

●     How to launch more incremental innovations without negatively impacting your existing portfolio

●     Adapting an innovation from another market?...Some common differences between Canadians and Americans in reacting to the same innovation concept
