Slips, Trips, and Falls Prevention
Information Session and Panel Discussion, with WorkSafeBC
Thursday, October 3rd, 2019 from 9:30AM-1:00PM
WorkSafeBC Auditorium in Richmond (Google Maps)
Slips, trips, and falls are the third leading cause of injuries in manufacturing and are part of WorkSafeBC’s Manufacturing High-Risk Strategy inspectional initiative. To help employers identify the latest prevention controls available for slip, trip and fall incidents in the workplace, WorkSafeBC, in collaboration with the BC Food Processing Association, is organizing an information session that includes panel discussions and interactive breakout sessions.
What to expect:
- Understand the cost and causes of increasing slip, trips and fall injury claims in BC manufacturing and why it’s a bigger issue than you might think
- Review the risk controls to help prevent slip, trip and fall injuries in the workplace
- Panel discussion to discuss the main challenges and solutions to reduce slip, trip and fall incidents
- Breakout session to encourage employer networking, information sharing and troubleshooting.
