Donald’s Fine Foods is poised for significant future growth and expansion. The organization has recently assembled a new executive team and has secured key additional manufacturing capacity that will enable even further growth and expansion. With the pending retirement of a longstanding and successful incumbent, the company is now seeking to strengthen and professionalize its senior management ranks and sales function with a new Head, Sales and Marketing.
Reporting to the CEO, the Head, Sales and Marketing will manage the overall sales of the company’s products and services. The Head will ensure a consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment, and management of sales personnel. The role is responsible for identifying objectives and implementing strategies and tactical action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings. The Head will collaborate with the business development team in product research and development. The role will also build, develop, and sustain an effective sales and customer service team.
As the successful candidate, you will have a track record of success as a sales director or VP driving growth in the protein sector. Your demonstrated experience ensuring profitable growth in sales revenues (e.g. developing new customers, introducing new value-added products, implementing analytics and systems to support sales activities, understanding optimization of meat cuts and professionalizing a sales team) will be highly valued. You are a positive leader with experience managing a small team, and a good ambassador for company policies and values. As the preferred candidate, you also bring a strong understanding of the Canadian grocery and foodservice markets.
