Inside Sales Representative – Wise Bites

Can you strategically manage accounts and build long term relationships?
Required experience: Sales experience in the food industry : 1 year, please provide references.
- Primary responsibilities for this position include inside sales calls to existing accounts
across Canada, stores visits in Metro Vancouver and new business development.
- Daily responsibilities will include driving sales and taking orders at store level by ensuring every product is
well stocked, providing signage and product knowledge support. Stores visits are reported on in order to
measure the results.
- Conduct product demos on a regular basis and schedule other demo staff for additional store
- Trade shows are a big part of our marketing plan to build brand awareness; you will be required to
do the paperwork involved to participate in the show, set-up the booth on previous day, work in the booth
for the show, achieve sales, assist in packing up.
- During certain periods of your duty time you will be required to do whatever task is necessary on
site at Wise Bites should it be required.In other words ‘all hands on deck when required’.
- This position is executed from head office only.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPECTATIONS
- Sales experience in the food industry with a keen interest for natural and GF /Vegan foods
- High level of initiative and proven self-motivation
- Manage existing relationships while developing new strategic accounts
- Skill in working effectively with a wide range of partnering companies (customers, vendors, brokers)
- Ability to set objectives, problem-solve, prioritize and achieve goals
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Ability to influence others and communicate effectively (verbal and written)
- Knowledge of retail and wholesale merchandising
- Proficient with computers; specifically Excel (intermediate to advanced)
- Driver’s license and car required (car & mileage allowance provided)
