The Sanitation Worker is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all equipment after production to ensure food safety, managing the clean-up of all other production areas according to the requirements and procedures of the department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Hand wash equipment with chemical cleaner and wipe equipment
Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to specifications
Use vacuum cleaner and air gun to clean equipment
Sanitize production lines after cleaning
Remove garbage from production area
Gather and empty trash
Clean floor mopping, sweeping, scrubbing or vacuuming
Keep sanitation equipment/room clean and tidy
Clean and polish furniture and a variety of surfaces as assigned
Notify supervisor of any needs for repairs
Ensure food safety and quality
Other duties may be assigned
Education & Experience Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a similar role
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively and efficiently
Ability to speak, read and write English
Must be able to work with chemicals and other cleaning agents
Able to stand and walk around for long periods of time
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Able to work shift work including graveyard shifts and weekends as required
Ability to learn our business, be a team player and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment.
