B.C. distilleries now permitted to make hand sanitizer in fight against COVID-19

FOOD INDUSTRY CV19 NEWS UPDATE

As you may know, beginning this week Attorney General David Eby has announced the provincial government would give temporary authorization to distilleries to begin producing hand sanitizer for donation or sale.

If you would like to consider this option, please contact the staff at Natural and Non-Prescription Drugs Directorate (NNHPD) of Health Canada who can share relevant guidance and information on monographs, product and site licensing requirements for anyone manufacturing hand sanitizer to mitigate the shortage in Canada. They are also providing an overview of the interim measures Health Canada has in place and would love to connect with you!
