Join the BCFPA Vancouver Island Peer Group for a seasonal social in January!  We always seem to need more time for socializing at our meetings so we are going to start the New Year right! EPICURE has generously offered to host the event at their lovely space in North Saanich.

Expect some delicious treats, a tour and some insights as to what Epicure has in store for the future. Plus Debra Hellbach promises to give us a sneak peek into her research about what influencers think about food processing – a topic that is sure to stimulate conversation.

Stay Invisible or Not – Reframing Food Processing for Visibility, will make you shake your head in disbelief and raise your hackles it will also bolster your pride as a provider of good food to British Columbians. Hear about what Debra's communications research has discovered about how food processing is perceived and why she thinks it needs to be reframed.  Essentially food processing is more or less invisible – people really don’t think about how food gets to the table ... and that affects you and your business.
